The idea of this church was born in 1980 by Mr. Geoffrey Okullo and Hellen Okullo of Apac District. It
immediately didn’t kick off because as it later turned out it was Lawrence Ekwaro, son of the Okullos’
was the one the LORD has chosen to establish after living a life of filth (full of drinking alcohol,
fornication, and drug abuse). He was touched by the LORD, saved, and became born again. In 2011 after
patiently waiting from the LORD for spiritual guidance the church was officially opened. Pastor
Lawrence has been blessed with a beautiful wife, Mariam Kafuko, and one child. He lives a spirit-filled
life, guiding the people of God through The City of Truth Ministries. It boasts a population of 800
people and still growing.
